Safe Harbor's Beginnings
Safe Harbor Baptist Church was founded in March of 1999 by our
current pastor, Gary Gilbert. Since that spring, our church has steadily grown by reaching out to our neighborhoods and families to bring them to church.​

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Safe Harbor Baptist is a vibrant, family-oriented church located in Cochranville, PA. Since its founding in 1999, the church has been dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all who enter. We foster a spirit of community and fellowship and strive to nurture the spiritual growth of our members. Our Pastor, Gary Gilbert, has been preaching for us since the beginning, leading us in our mission.
At Safe Harbor Baptist, we are passionate about sharing the good news of the gospel and bringing glory to God. We invite you to join us for worship and to explore the many activities and events we offer.

Sermons
We preach out of the King James Version of the Bible. Sermons are by Pastor Gary Gilbert or Assistant Pastor Nathan Pegram. Adult Sunday School is preached by Deacon Patrick Miner, which goes into a deeper analysis of the Bible for those who seek a deep understanding of the Scripture. God did not intend for His Word to be diminished. Therefore, the Pastor's sermons deliver the truth of the Bible without modern-day censorship or fears. We reject the need for many modern practices, and believe that many old paths and traditions are still relevant and needed in today's society.
We welcome everyone into our church with open arms regardless of physical, personal, social, or spiritual status. Our main priority is to lead you to the open and loving arms of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to make Christ known, to glorify Him with our lives, and to practice what we believe without fear and have boldness that only God can give.

In our services, we use biblical hymns that are packed with truth. Our choir is led by our Assistant Pastor, Nathan Pegram. Individual church members also sing specials every Sunday. Our brand new children's choral group will soon open for anyone who wishes to participate.
