The Bible Way to Heaven

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23

We must understand that no one is good when compared to the standard and holiness of God! Our comparison is not each other but God Himself. When we compare ourselves to Him, we all fall short of His glory!

...without shedding of blood is no remission for sin.

Hebrews 9:22 b

The thing that sends someone to hell is their sin. Therefore we must be forgiven of our sin in order to get to Heaven. This is the gift Christ gave us on the cross when He took our sins and rose from the dead in power and victory. Our sins are forgiven when we ask Jesus to forgive us our sins.

 

Some say its because I don't want to go to hell. Some say because I want to go to Heaven. Some say its because I want to change my life and be a good person. While those are great reasons to get saved, that is not why we need to get saved. We need to get saved so we can have our sins forgiven.

For the wages of sin is death...

Romans 6:23a

 

A wage is a payment. The payment or price for your sin is death and separation from God in a place that the Bible calls Hell. This is a serious concern that we must all deal with... but it gets better...

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:9

​Dear friend, do you want to make that decision today? You can do it right now. Pray to God, acknowledge that you’re a sinner, and ask Him to forgive your sins and take you to Heaven when you die.

Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. That is all of us. He also said in Titus 3:5 that God cannot lie. So if you have called on the name of Jesus Crist to save you and forgive you of your sins. If He were to go back on His promise and send you to hell. that would make Him a liar. If God only saved some and not others, because they were "too bad", then His word is not reliable. Praise Jesus, He Is always true and ever reliable.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8

 

The word commendeth means “proved.” God proved His love for you by giving His own Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins. Through accepting His Son, His sacrifice for you on the cross (which is called the free gift of salvation),  we can have our sins paid and forgiven.

​For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. -Romans 10:13

Here is a prayer you can say.

 

"Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross and paid the penalty for my sin. I believe that you rose from the dead three days later. I am placing my faith in you alone to forgive my sin and save me. Thank you for giving me eternal life, in Jesus' name, AMEN."

Yes, you can certainly know that! 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. This verse tells us that we can know it. The question about assurance of Salvation is usually based in Trust. Do I trust God or not? Have you did what Christ asked to be saved? If so, God's Word says you are saved.
